Heat curing thermoset coatings


We have used heat curing thermoset coatings for decades, mostly in the chemical industry and with hot water loads. Their wide arrays of implementations are based on their resistance against steam diffusion as well as their high chemical resistance.

These heat cured coatings, whose surface is partly baked enamel, are mostly utilized in the coating of tube bundle heat exchangers, filter containers and hot-water boilers (above 60 degrees Celsius). The antifouling-factor is significantly increased due to the smooth hydrophobic surface and the effects of incrustation can be largely avoided. Therefore, a sustainable and regular activity of, for example, tube bundle heat exchangers can be achieved.

Based on the insubstantial layer thickness of about 200 μm which is applied and burned on in 4 to 5 layers, there are almost no consequences regarding the heat transfer. Pieces of work are thermally cured in our very modern convection ovens which can house pieces of up to 10 meters in length and a diameter of up to 4 meters.
